Very interesting interview on Photo Raw about Stanley Greene's view of photojournalism and why we do this kind of work.

Stanley Greene is an American photojournalist who does not like the term “photojournalist”. He is especially known for his images documenting war and conflict in Chechnya, Nagorno Karabakh, Iraq, Somalia, Croatia, Kashmir and Lebanon. He was encouraged to study photography by W. Eugene Smith and was a member of the Black Panthers and an activist against the Vietnam war. Greene has overcome mental health and drug problems during his career and was almost killed when covering a coup attempt in the White House in Moscow. He has received numerous awards, including the W. EugeneSmith Award in 2004 and has won the World Press Photo award five times. He has also published many photography books.
